About Me

I'm a cybersecurity professional-in-progress with a passion for building secure, resilient systems. After completing my Google Cybersecurity Certificate, I went deep — building and maintaining a production-grade homelab that runs real infrastructure including a Type 1 hypervisor, virtualised firewall, IDS/IPS, recursive DNS, containerised services, and a self-hosted VPN tunnel.

My background spans therapeutic youth care, disability support, and trainee accounting — giving me something most technical candidates lack: genuine experience in high-stakes environments and communicating clearly with people under pressure.

I'm currently completing my Certified Cyber Security Professional qualification through UTS Academy / Institute of Data (graduating June 2026), and actively targeting SOC Analyst and Blue Team roles — with a growing interest in offensive security.

Case Studies & Projects

Incident Analysis
2017 Equifax Data Breach — Case Study
Technical breakdown of the largest financial PII breach in US history. Analysis covers the three-phase attack chain (CVE-2017-5638 entry, lateral movement via plaintext credentials, 76-day undetected exfiltration), systemic governance failures, and strategic recommendations including Zero Trust Architecture and SBOM-based asset management.
Incident Analysis
2022 Optus Data Breach — Case Study
In-depth analysis of the Optus data breach including root cause identification, attack vector mapping, regulatory impact under the Privacy Act, and a board-level gap analysis with remediation recommendations across people, process, and technology dimensions.
Vulnerability Research
CVE-2023-23397 — Outlook NTLM Credential Theft
Risk assessment lab examining the Microsoft Outlook zero-click NTLM credential harvesting vulnerability. Included threat actor profiling, ALE/ROI calculations, and recommended mitigations for enterprise environments.
Infrastructure
Zero Trust Homelab Architecture
Designed and deployed a multi-layer secure home network applying Zero Trust principles — isolated services via Proxmox and LXC, virtualised firewall with IDS/IPS enforcement, encrypted tunnels, and recursive DNS for traffic privacy.
